AU gets third commit for 2011!

The Auburn Tiger football team gained a new member of the family today. Anthony Swain, a highly touted safety from Gadsden City high school in Gadsden, Alabama committed to Auburn becoming the 3rd commitment of the 2011 recruiting class. Swain committed to AU over several SEC offers including AL, TN and KY and was being heavily recruited by several other teams across the Southeast. Swain is 6'2", 215 lbs and has been clocked in the mid 4.5 range in the forty yard dash.

Swain visited AU a few weeks ago with his good friend and teammate Daryl Collins. Both came away with great things to say about AU and Swain walked away with his first offer. He visited Auburn again today for Junior Day and was so impressed with what he saw that he committed before leaving. The Auburn coaches love Swains abilities on the football field and describe him as a player that can run with anybody, but is also known as a player that loves to hit. His ability as a big time hitter rivals any high school linebacker prospect and gives Swain the option to play the safety position or the linebacker position in college. He's being recruited to AU to play safety as it stands today though, and it looks like Auburn got a good one. War Eagle and welcome to the family Anthony Swain!
