Tyrik Rollison to transfer....

Tyrik Rollison was perhaps the most highly touted player signed in Gene Chiziks first recruiting class. Rated as Rivals #2 dual-threat QB, many experts predicted big things for Rollison on the plains. Some even compared him to the next Chris Leak. This past week however, Rollisons Auburn career ended before it ever really got started, when his father announced Tyrik would be transferring to Sam Houston St.

Rollison had a rocky start with the Tigers and never really seemed to fit in. He was suspended for a violation of team rules last year and finally had worked his way back into good standing with the Auburn coaches recently. He returned to the team however, with new talent and stiffer competition at QB, as the Tigers had signed the #1 overall Juco player in the country in Cam Newton. This apparently did not sit well with Rollison and he announced his decision to transfer shortly after. Rollison will finish out the spring semester at AU and then take his talents to Sam Houston St.
